Nepenthes spathulata x ampullaria
Description
This item is a mix of Nepenthes spathulata x ampullaria BE-3881 and Nepenthes spathulata x ampullaria BE-4050.
Nepenthes spathulata x ampullaria BE-3881 has burgundy speckled pitchers. The female parent is the selected clone of N. spathulata sold under BE-3174. The male parent is a ‘Harlequin’ form of the Brunei N. ampullaria, formerly sold as CR-33. This is a particularly robust cross and being of highland-lowland origin, it’s temperature tolerant and easy to grow. As you can see from some of the photos, it easily produces cascades of large pitchers. This form has burgundy speckled pitchers and the photos shown here are of the actual clone shipped.
