If you were to imagine a dream hybrid between two species in the genus with the largest pitchers, this might well be it! We expect this cross to produce huge and amazing pitchers and it’s a joy watching our stock plants mature.
The female parent is N. rajah, which is one of the four clones from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in the 1990s. The male parent is the giant black N. robcantleyi, with the cultivar name ‘King of Spades’.
