Temperature: Sphagnum moss will tolerant to a wide range of temperature condition from cold to hot.
Water: Sphagnum moss likes clean, pure water, such as distilled water, RO water, rain water or tap water in some regions. Keep the moss constantly hydrated by misting or watering regularly. Allowing the growth tips to dry out may set you back and make the moss more susceptible to fungi attacks when rehydrated.
Light: Sphagnum moss does best in bright or even strong light. When grown under good lighting, moss strands are strong and compact with bright to light green (for some species, red) colour. When grown under shade, they tend to be leggy and deep green, and more susceptible to fungi attacks or mold issues.
